The Ptolemaic temple of Edfu, temple to Horus, built between 237 BC to 57 BC
Lauren and Tien with Horus, the falcon god
Inside Edfu temple, rich with carvings
Offerings of food
Tien, just inside the entrance to Edfu
Still so crisp after 2000+ years, the art of an ibis which represents knowledge
This Ptolemaic temple to the god Khnum in Esna is a hypostyle hall with 24 columns (flat ceiling supported by columns) -- I favored small temples like this one.
Inside the temple of Khnum, beautiful carvings with evidence of color
Near our cruise ship, a charmer and his snakes
